Last week I presented these two shots of a flying Northern Gannet from Newfoundland, Canada. They look almost identical, but I think one is better than the other. Did you determine which one, and why?
Most of you spotted the problem with the bottom shot. As you can see, the black wing tip of the Gannet is over a black rock on the ground so it blends in with the rock. The top picture gives a better view of the whole bird because the black tip contrasts better with the green foliage below. Simple, but easily overlooked.
