Paul Demkovich has been traveling a lot and sharing his GreatBirdPics along the way. He was in Boynton Beach, Florida last month and sent us two views of a Pied-billed Grebe. The first one is a closeup showing the detail in the body. The second one pulls back and includes the bird’s reflection. Both are great pictures, but which one do you like best, and Why? Reply to the email or make a comment at the bottom of the post and let me know – I’ll publish the results next week.
A) Closeup
B) Reflection

Both are beautiful photos; I like the reflection picture better though.
I am of two minds on this. On the one hand, I believe the cropped image is a bit too tight of a crop. And while I like the reflection, especially since the water reflects the blue sky nicely, I would be inclined to crop that image just a bit closer, keeping the reflection, but reducing some of the blue space occupied by the water.
