Most birds are beautiful in their own right, but sometimes their color makes us sit up and take notice. So notice the brilliant colors on these birds from our members:
Paul Demkovich was in Florida on Christmas day and captured this bright blue Little Blue Heron.
Burning Nature Photography spends a lot of time at Gettysburg National Military Park. Perhaps it’s the wide open spaces surrounded by forests; he sees a nice variety of birds there. Here’s female Cardinal with a bright beak. He reminds us that some female birds are just as colorful as the male of the species.
Outside of Buenos Aires, Argentina asteinmann captures this Red-crested Cardinal. Brilliant!
Another bird from Argentina, this time taken by Paul Demkovich. Like the bird above, a shock of red on this White-browed Meadowlark.
