This Scarlet-faced Liocichla was a big hit at the feeding station among the members of our tour. One of the most colorful birds we saw in Thailand.

Beautiful bird. Very good detail and great color exposure. One of my dilemmas when taking pictures at a fruit feeder, is trying to get a good pose of the bird, but keeping the fruit (often bananas) out of the picture. Often I find that many of these birds will “stage” away from the feeder and wait for their opportunity to fly down and grab a piece of the banana.
