Catbirds are quite noisy birds, mewing like a cat or just making all sorts of smacking and clicking sounds. They are usually found hiding deep in the bushes so it was quite a nice surprise to see this one perched on a fence post. Note the little bit of orange beneath the tail. This one flew off a second later.
