More Rare Than the Famous Ones

We were in the right place at the right time to see the arrival of the famous Monty the Piping Plover (for a complete story about Chicago’s Monty and Rose CLICK HERE).  While watching Monty and Rose reunite I came across a Semipalmated Plover hopping along Montrose Beach.  When I went to enter it into eBird it was listed as “Rare”.
