Two Purple Sandpipers have a bit of quiet time, in between their meals. Purple Sandpipers usually hang around the rocks along the Atlantic Coast lines. For unknown reasons, these two found their way along Lake Michigan “Coast lines.”

The last time I photographed one was three years ago in that exact location. But two in the same frame? Outstanding Bonnie. One of my favorite shorebirds.
