Peregrine Falcons rule the beach and lakefront at Montrose Point in Chicago. This one landed very close to me and gave me some great looks.

What a great shot! Patience is a virtue I need to learn. Worth the wait.
This Peregrine is looking down at a bird he just chased in from the lake. I guess it was too small to pursue because he quickly took off after a Flicker. The bird came back to the same perch multiple time during my time on the pier.
