This Juvenile Sandhill Crane I’ve been seeing at the grassland preserve has been exploring quite a bit on its own lately and seems to always have a Red-winged blackbird close by, making sure it knows right off the bat who’s the boss around there. Size apparently does not matter in this hierarchy.
