A Rarity

A rare capture of two White-tailed Nightjar chicks, if existing at all. I’ve been documenting the progress since discovery of the eggs mid May. The chicks hatched in 2 consecutive days, on May 27th and 28th. In this photo they are 6 and 7 days young.
Three years ago, on the exact same location the female abandoned the nest after disturbance by the contactor of hotel, still under construction, damaging their habitat in the Bubali wetlands on Aruba.
Regardless, I’m very excited to witness this new family.
