Nice picture. It is amazing how many color and pattern variations this species shows. Our Yellow-rumps in California are much different. Certainly sex and seasonal variations are common but also location differences. Anyway, this one is a beautiful specimen. Love the mask.

I agree with Bajadreamer – they do have a large variance in color. Sometimes they are striking in their colors and other times you have to look really hard to tell what species it is.
