This is a Cuban Tody, found only in Cuba and a few other Caribbean islands. Diminutive in size, wren sized, it is very territorial. When an owl playback is used in NW Cuba, near Vinales, Cuba, this bird is usually the first to show up to harass the owl. In this picture the colors have not been enhanced-this bird is really pastel colored.
Unfortunately I accidentally deleted all my RAW images from this day in Cuba. I would like to reprocess this image now that I have a little bit more skill and knowledge of LR and PS.

Love the colors. 🙂
Unreal aren’t they? I am not sure of any other bird that has such pastel colors like this.
That bird is the cutest
And a very personable bird too. This one sat for 5′ flitting about and posing.
Very nice photo.
Unfortunately after we returned from this trip I was experimenting in organizing my photos and all the original RAW files from this particular day were deleted. Now that I am a little better in post processing I lament not having those files.
What a cute and colorful little bird! Very nice photo of him too.
Thank you. A great bird! As I was stating I sure wish I had my original RAW files from this particular day. I could do much better in post.
Looks like a Favorite of the crowd! Thanks for posting it here and including the wonderful description.
