Larks are small sized feeding songsters quite a few are known for their melodious flight displays, they are mostly walking or running on ground. The Malabar lark is darker then the crested lark. It has a pointed crest which tall, it has white under parts dark edge cheek, heavily streaked breast with darker bill, call an indulating 3 note whistle. They breed throughout the year clutch consists of three eggs incubation period is not known but most larks incubate for a period of 16 days the nest is on ground
