Pileated Woodpecker

There is a dead, bare tree in the preserve behind our home. This month it has become a favorite perch for woodpeckers! I’ve seen this Pileated Woodpecker, a Downy Woodpecker, and a Red-bellied Woodpecker in the exact same spot on the tree – vey popular!
