Nearing the end of our Colombia trip (October of 2024), this final bird was a “bonus”. A tiny woodpecker, a Grayish Piculet, it does not bore holes in trees. Rather it pounds on tree limbs to break the bark loose and then eats the insects (mainly ants) that live there.
