We went birding today in a wetland area in Ft. Myers hoping to see Roseate Spoonbills, which we didn’t find. Also, all of the usual Florida wetland birds were there, but were generally distant. We left the wetland area for a walk through the woods to temporarily escape the sun and had this Red-shouldered Hawk fly past us and perch on a nearby branch. The photos of this bird were the highlight of the day!
