Boreal Owl # 1

I’d planned a trip to Sax-Zim Bog and the surrounding area last Winter. Thankfully, it didn’t materialize. This year I made the trek and ended up in the middle of an owl irruption. My hope was to see a Great Gray Owl and maybe get a decent picture. I ended up seeing 14 of them. However, the really big surprise was the Boreal Owls. I had no expectations of seeing one of them, and ended up seeing four. Three of them offered excellent photo opportunities.
