Black-fronted Tern

I cannot believe how I got this image as I was along way from them on the otherside of the river where these terns nest every year. I have never seen them in their nesting enviroment before. This river is in the back country surrounded by mountains where I was driving to photograph alpine flora, so spotting the terns was an added bonus.
