Magellanic Penguin

Magellanic Penquin

Viewed 3 Times

We visited a Magellanic Penquin colony at Punta Tombo near Trelew. The penguins walk a couple of hundred yards inland, up hills from the shoreline, and choose a spot (usually under a bush) to excavate a nesting burrow. The males arrive first. Mostly we saw single birds, so they were probably males.
