We hiked into a tidal back-water area near Punta Rasa and stood quietly watching the base of the rushes for about 45 minutes. Suddenly, the Dot-winged Crake peeked out from the reeds. For several minutes the Crake poked about and made itself visible as it searched for the next morsel. Fabulous – well worth the wait!
