Black-necked Stilt – White Backed

Very close to downtown Buenos Aires is the Reserva Ecologica Costanera Sur which includes a large wetland. We visited this park on our first day in Argentina and were introduced to many new birds including a group of Black-necked Stilts with white backs. This in-flight photo shows their white back better than those that were foraging on the ground or in the water.
