This species is fairly regularly observed with a flock of Horned Larks. Nonetheless, given the large size of the Horned Lark flock, I wasn’t trying to find this bird. It just happened to be one on which I focused as I tried to photograph Horned Larks. This is both my first observation as well as photograph of this species.
