This is a photo I took a number of years ago on one of our trips to Costa Rica. This was taken at Paraiso Quetzal Lodge, certainly a favorite of ours. The bird, a Long-tailed Silky Flycatcher, is common but not always easy to photograph. This individual (and its mate) had built a nest near our cabin and was easily photographed coming and going to the nest. On this particular day it started to rain (this is Costa Rica). The bird settled under this flowering branch and stayed there throughout the rain-any umbrella will work in a storm.
