Broad-winged Hawk

Over the weekend I heard all the birds suddenly burst away from our feeders. I found European Collared Dove feathers scattered through the yard but did not see a predator. The next morning we heard Blue Jays mobbing something high in the pines and saw this Broad-winged Hawk watching the birds at the feeders. This is probably the predator that caught the dove the day before. I ran into the house and grabbed my camera…
