Rusty-belted Tapaculo

Great Bird Pic? No. Bird pic good enough to identify the subject? Yes!

This Rusty-belted Tapaculo was nearly impossible to photograph! It was hiding and running. The only view anyone had was a brief glimpse. I pointed my camera at a small opening in the brush ahead of where it was headed and started shooting. This image was one of those frames.

Shortly after this photo, the bird ran across the path, I have a picture of its beak poking out from the brush, and another photo of its tail after it ran across the path.

Our group was thrilled with this photo because it was the best view any of our group had achieved with bins or bare eyes!
