I was along the BNSF tracks south of Galena, Illinois to take train pictures, but I never saw any trains. As usual, I was on the wrong side of the river to see trains, as I did hear a CPKC train across the Mississippi River. During my long, fruitless wait for trains, I did manage to get the best killdeer pictures I have ever taken. I even managed to coax this bird to pose on the rail for me.
