Continuing with images from The Nuthouse in Clemson, SC. Carl Ackerman has built some great photography blinds in his back yard that provide some terrific opportunities to see and photograph some East Coast birds that Deb and I do not see often. While these birds may be “common” to many folks, for us they are exotic. Most of these images were shot with a Canon R5, 600 f/4.0 lens and processed in Photoshop. Carl provides some “set up” perches with flowers etc, but he has planted a wide variety of trees and plants that provide more “natural” perches. When we were there the leaves had just started to turn colors (October 1, 2023) so gave us some background colors.
