I hiked at Lincoln Memorial Garden for the first time in a over a month and what a difference. I could hear birds everywhere, but since the trees were full of leaves, it was hard to see them and lighting conditions were poor. The only cooperative bird I found was this Eastern Kingbird near Lake Springfield. However, it was a pretty gray day and the lighting was not ideal.

The Kingbirds are up here in Chicagoland in force now. I had one perch nicely, as yours did.
