A Belted Kingfisher is often seen perched near the water, heard calling over the marsh, and diving for fish. Sometimes we are lucky to see it with its catch and capture a photo. In this instance, I was surprised to see that I had captured the moment just after it left the branch in flight. Have you ever seen or wondered what the bottom of the feet of a Belted Kingfisher looked like? I was surprised by how yellow they are.
