During mating season Greater-Prairie Chickens constantly fight in order to have dominance over the other males. The top bird is flying in to attack his opponent. These fights are quick but continue for hours while all of the birds are in the lek. The females observe this behavior and eventually decide who to mate with. This photo was taken while in a blind.
