I still haven’t had much luck getting a clear shot of an adult red-headed woodpecker. Usually, when I see them they are pretty high up in the tree. The one time I saw one in a really good spot, I was trying out a used lens I had just bought on eBay and it malfunctioned due to dirty contacts. That was the same day that I saw two pileated woodpeckers. Since cleaning the contacts, that lens has performed properly and it was used to get this shot.
Nice!
