Sax-Zim Bog #1

This Great Gray Owl had just come up empty in an attempt to catch a vole. It was late in the day and the skies were grey and the light very poor. I decided to lighten up the background a little in post to give this stark contrast of the birds profile against a white sky. The bird stayed at this perch for about 30 seconds before flying to a distant tree. That distant perch will be my next post.
