When photographing on a beach, there often aren’ a lot of features other than the birds that can be used to make an image unique. One way to add more creativity to beach images of shorebirds is to use sand as an obscuring factor to redirect the viewer. Here a spotted sandpiper peeks over a sand dune. The small rise is enough to obscure most of the bird.
