This was a difficult shot for me to get. I saw the Barred Owl fly to this tree, but he was surrounded by little branches and my I couldn’t focus on the owl because of all the branches. I rarely use manual focus because I don’t think my photos come out clear enough. So, I moved a few steps to my right and when the owl look at me, I zoomed as far as my camera would allow and focused on his eye. I was so happy when everything came into focus.

A few of these lived near my house this past summer…they are indeed difficult to spot! Nice photo and good work!
The Barred Owl shot was tough to get. I have been experimenting with obscured shots and working on my manual focus skills but have had mixed results. This one certainly worked for you. PS. Been there three times recently and no luck finding the owl.
