This bird caught me off guard. Pine Siskins are usually winter birds and it was only September. But wait, I wasn’t home, but at the Grand Tetons National Park. Migration had already started and that includes the Pine Siskins, who winter in Wyoming. A flock of these little guys were taken advantage of the thistle plants in the fields.
