This pair of cranes was foraging near the road. I had a long prime lens on my camera at the time so I couldn’t get the whole bird, but by positioning and waiting until both birds were in the frame, I was able to get this shot.

Still and effective shot of the Sandhills. The one in the foreground is in such sharp focus the one in the background doesn’t bother me that the other one is soft.

We had a few roosting on our property. Never saw their faces up close though, great picture!
