This is an image of a Talamanca Hummingbird. Up until a few years ago, this was a Magnificent Hummingbird, but this species was split into two distinct species based on their DNAs. The former Magnificent HB became Rivoli’s Hummingbird in the north (Mexico and Arizona) and Talamanca Hummingbird in the south (Costa Rica). Shot in the central Highlands of Costa Rica, processed in PS. Bird brought up slightly and BG brought down slightly. Cropped from L and top in 16:9 for display on a TV.
