This cooper’s hawk managed to snag a house sparrow in my yard, which it then proceeded to devour. In this shot, the hawk is struggling to swallow the wing whole. Eventually he brought it back up to tear into more manageable pieces.

Amazing that the Coopers Hawk could bring the wing back up! Guess its eyes were bigger than its throat.
