This bird was not very active but just having one show up at Montrose Point was mega rare. In talking to long time birders they told me they had never had an American White Pelican actually land at Montrose. I couldn’t resist taking a few shots. About 30 minutes after I photographed this bird it took off heading south along the lakefront.
