While at Acadia National Park, I went for my morning walk along the coast. Hoping to get shorebirds or sea birds. Not much that morning. But on my way back to the campsite,, I came across a family of Red- eyed Vireos. Most were deep in the bushes, but one came out into the sun and I was able to catch his name sake.

Perfect timing on this photo! I also just posted a Red-eyed Vireo from my visit to Acadia. However, it’s eye isn’t vividly red….I guess it can vary individually.
Great shot of the Red-eyed Vireo! You caught it perfectly – I don’t think I’ve seen a better shot of the eyes before!
