I glassed a large (60+) flock of Forster’s Terns and discovered 7 American Avocets mixed in at the end of then flock. Not rare, but uncommon in this area.

Good catch of the Avocets! We get them through here in Chicago and they are always a treat to see.
I saw them when I lived in AZ and when I lived in Bolingbrook, do this is the third state for me.
