Limpkin

A Limpkin was reported on eBird at Kingsbury State Fish and Wildlife Area, LaPorte, Indiana, on July 31, 2022. Since we had not seen one in the American Birding Association’s region and only in foreign countries, we decided to head to Indiana. It was a little over a two-hour drive. We arrived at the location, got out of the car, and there were birders looking at it. One birder offered his scope. We were lucky. It was in a little stream that went into a marsh and just off the road.
