This female popped up as two males were singing. It’s always interesting to compare the male and female of a species.

It took me a while to pick out the female Bunting. It is so different from the male that I wouldn’t associate it as a Bunting. I actually like the background in this pic more than the one in the signing male, as this one gives a bit of perspective.
Is that a parasite on his eye?, what a sweet looking bird.
