Seeing this bird and getting an okay shot the day before, I decided to try to another approach for a photograph. I laid down well in advance of his feeding pattern and just waited for him to stroll by. I hadn’t expected him to be completely unafraid of humans as he literally was three feet from my head. Even so, this bird never stopped moving and I was lucky to get one good sharp shot. This is a stunning male that I’m guessing will stick around for a while since he seemed focused on feeding heavily in a specific area.
