As another Sandhill Crane pair flew above this guy he abruptly launched into a massive bugling binge to announce his own territory. The bugling sound of a Sandhill Crane can be heard for 2.5 miles.

I used to live in Middleton, Wisconsin next to Pheasant Branch Conservancy. There were at least 2 pairs living there and we could hear their calls constantly. They make great “music” and this image brings it back. Thanks
