When I joined Great Bird Pics, I told Mike that I was primarily a railroad photographer and that I occasionally photograph birds. Mike said “maybe you can get a picture of a bird on a railroad track”. Well, challenge accepted. This was the best I could do on short notice. I was in the West Bottoms area of Kansas City, Missouri waiting to take train pictures when this pair of Canada geese showed up after seeing a big puddle by the tracks (when they got there, they found that the puddle was frozen). I generally do not take pictures of trains facing away from me, but I made an exception in this case to include the geese.
