The Palo Alto Baylands preserve is a fantastic photography destination with throngs of ducks, waders, and shorebirds feeding close to the trail and unbothered by the presence of people. I got lots of great shots of ducks I can’t normally get close to, but this muddy canvasback is easily my favorite of the bunch.
