I’ll be the first to admit that finches are a favorite of mine. Especially the winter finches like the Common Redpoll. Since this seems to be a big irruption year for them I’m taking advantage of my opportunities and chasing birds at many different locations. But finding a clean perch is not an easy task for birds that like to feed on the ground and high in trees. This bird however did land in a nice spot and I like the simplicity of the scene.
