A few Redpolls were feeding on the ground eating seeds when this one popped up for a quick shot. I love the rosy breasts on the males.

I feel very lucky, the numbers in the yard are growing and I heard they peak in February. Hoping to see a few more males like this one, as I’ve mostly seen females and immatures.
