Northern Shrike

Northern Shrike hunting in Connecticut. This bird has become a major avian celebrity for the state of Connecticut, with people coming well over an hour away for a chance to view it. I am, perhaps, fortunate to live only about 30 minutes away from this preserve where it has been. In 5 trips to the park, I have managed to see and photograph it 3 times. Not a bad average I thought.
